What is in a name?

Here at Caliope & Clio Collaborative LLC we are growing and protecting the seedling that represents our company, a living organism under the protection of Mother Earth, la Pacha Mama with whom we have a reciprocal relationship. We will treat your project with the same care and respect.

We chose Caliope and Clio Collaborative LLC (CCCollab) as our name to evoke the presence of the muses in our work. In Greek mythology Kalliope/ Calliope/ Caliope is the muse who presides over eloquence and epic poetry, she is considered the chief muse with a beautiful voice and her sister Kleio/Clio is the muse of history and lyre playing, both are the daughters of the Titaness Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory.

At Caliope & Clio Collaborative we celebrate language, histories and herstories, culture, female empowerment, the beauty and elegance of art and music, and the importance of harmony in life and work, hence our choice of company name. Caliope & Clio Collaborative appeals to the imagination and links us firmly to our linguistic ancestral roots.
